My favorite manufacturers of backpacks for notebooks and laptops are SwissGear, Targus and Case Logic. There are other quality manufacturers, but these are favored because the quality standards and features included in their designs excellent. The listed makers of backpacks are known for producing backpacks optimized for carrying backpacks and notebooks.

There are a variety of unique features that are available in some backpacks. For the person that takes a MP3 player or I-pod with them as part of their portable gadget collection, a “wired” laptop backpack may be of interest.
